Actions.so shut down on 16 July 2026. The domain still answers, but every address on it now returns the same notice: "This service has been shut down." In its own words, "everything that ran on this domain, the app, the API, the agents and their triggers, has been switched off for good."
Widgets were served from actions.so URLs, so the embed blocks in your Notion pages are still there and still pointing at a server that no longer sends a widget. That is why you are looking at empty or erroring frames.
Actions.so sold a library of 45+ widgets across nine categories: buttons, cards, clocks, collections, data, feedback, forms, products and tasks. thePlus.so does three things (Image, Text and Announcement) and does them deeply. This page is honest about which of your widgets we can replace and which we cannot.
Nobody could see it coming, and that is the real lesson
The Actions.so homepage did not change for roughly eight months before it went dark. Byte for byte identical across archive snapshots from November to June, then one morning a shutdown notice. There was no announcement, no wind down period, no warning banner on the dashboard. If you were a paying customer, the first you knew about it was a broken page. This is the part worth taking seriously when you pick a replacement: a widget vendor can look completely normal right up until the day it is not, because nothing on a marketing site tells you whether the company is healthy.
What we can replace, and what we cannot
Be realistic about the mapping. Their button and card widgets overlap with what our Text and Announcement widgets do, and anything image led maps onto our Image widget. Their clock, form, data, collection, feedback and task widgets do not have an equivalent here. If your dashboard leaned on forms or task tracking, thePlus.so is not your answer for those blocks and you will need to look elsewhere. If it leaned on banners, headings, calls to action and images, that is squarely what we build, with 1,500+ Google Fonts behind it.
Rebuilding without redoing your layout
You do not touch the page structure, only the embeds. Build the replacement widget on thePlus.so, copy its embed link, open the dead Notion block and paste the new URL over the old one. The block keeps its width and its position. Work through them in any order, one at a time, and nothing else on the page changes while you do it.
Ask the next vendor for evidence, not promises
Every widget tool says it is here to stay. The useful question is what it will show you. We publish live revenue at /open and real uptime at /uptime, and we sell a $149 lifetime plan so there is no subscription to lose. That is not a promise that we will outlive everyone. It is a set of numbers you can check yourself, which is the only thing that would have warned an Actions.so customer in advance.
Credit where it is due
A comparison page that only flatters its author is not worth reading. Here is the honest side.
- Actions.so had a far bigger catalogue than we do. 45+ widgets across nine categories against our three types.
- At the end it cost EUR 1.99 a month, cheaper than any paid plan we offer.
- Its form, data and task widgets have no equivalent here at all, and we are not going to pretend otherwise.
- When it closed, it told users plainly that integrations would keep failing and were safe to remove. That is more courtesy than many shutdowns manage.

Questions
When did Actions.so shut down?
On 16 July 2026. The date is stated on the notice that now replaces the site. Everything on the domain was switched off at once: the app, the API, the agents and their triggers.
Can I get my Actions.so widgets back?
No. The widgets were rendered by their servers, so the configurations went offline with them. No export was offered and there is no archive to pull them from. Rebuilding is the only route.
Did I lose anything inside Notion?
No. Your pages, databases and layout are untouched. Only the embedded frames are empty, because they point at a server that no longer answers. Replacing the URL inside each block fixes the page.
Does thePlus.so have the same widgets Actions.so had?
Only some. We build Image, Text and Announcement widgets. Their buttons, cards and banners map onto what we do. Their form, data, collection and task widgets do not, and you will need a different tool for those.
Is thePlus.so cheaper than Actions.so was?

Actions.so started as a postgraduate student in India called Nandha giving himself 25 days to build and sell something. He put it together with Webflow and Bubble, launched it in February 2022, listed it on MicroAcquire, had offers within a day and was done inside two weeks. Then his classes started again after covid and he handed it on.
That story is the reason thePlus.so exists. Our founder read about that exit in 2022 and it was the thing that made building a Notion widget tool feel possible. NotionPlus.dev, which became thePlus.so, came out of that.
Actions.so went on to serve tens of thousands of people before it was switched off in July 2026, and its closing notice reads "thank you to everyone who ran something here."
